David Energy's two distinct product teams are shaping a sustainable, efficient energy future. They needed a cohesive design system to enhance consistency, collaboration, efficiency, and smooth development integration.
the challenge
Small Commercial and Residential are two separate teams with different strategies, but they share the development squad. As David Energy grew, the differences between their interfaces became too significant, leading to a loss of cohesiveness and brand unity.
the solution
The Volt Design System resolved this issue. By serving as a single source of truth, it enabled both teams to increase their feature shipment speed, ensure consistency and brand fidelity, and facilitate a smoother workflow and cross-functional teamwork.
the principles
Accesible
We adhere to WCAG standards with accessible colors, readable typography, and ARIA labels to ensure inclusivity for all users.
Atomic
Using atomic principles, we create modular and reusable components that ensure consistency and streamline development.
Soft 8pt-grid
A soft 8-point grid provides a scalable structure, ensuring visual balance and consistent alignment across all devices.
Extensive
Our large library of documented components and clear guidelines ensures brand alignment and a cohesive user experience.
Cross functional
We empower teams from marketing to product with specialized components, fostering collaboration and company-wide consistency.
Flexible
Built for flexibility, components can be easily customized for diverse projects and evolving brand needs.
